3. Legal Basis and Consent
We process personal information based on your consent, the need to perform our contractual obligations to you (such as your enrollment agreement), our legitimate business interests in operating an accredited barber school, and our legal obligations under federal and California law.

SBBI operates an SMS program for communicating with prospective students, current students, and graduates.
How you opt in: You may opt into SMS communications by (a) submitting your phone number through a form on our website and affirmatively checking the SMS consent checkbox, (b) signing an enrollment agreement that contains a written SMS consent clause, or (c) verbally confirming your consent to a member of our staff.
Types of messages you may receive: Account notifications, tuition and payment reminders, attendance and clock-hour alerts, scheduling and appointment confirmations, enrollment status updates, graduation notifications, and other school administrative communications.
Message frequency: Frequency varies depending on your status and account activity.
Cost: Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message from SBBI to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.
How to get help: Reply HELP to any SMS message to receive support information, or contact us using the details in Section 11.
5. SMS Information Sharing — No Sharing with Third Parties
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that support our operations — for example, customer service vendors, SMS messaging providers, payment processors, and student information system providers — is permitted solely to enable those services. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your phone number or SMS consent records.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our SMS program and online services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly send marketing or promotional SMS to individuals under 18 without verifiable parental consent. Students under 18 who enroll at SBBI must have a parent or legal guardian execute the enrollment agreement and provide SMS consent on their behalf.
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18 without proper consent, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent update. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
